Martha’s keen attention to detail and innate sensitivity are the essence of her work. She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and received a B.F.A. from Philadelphia College of Art and a Master’s degree in education from Temple University. Martha has lived in rural Berks County for 37 years. Her spacious studio is located in the converted barn that is part of her quaint farmstead. During the last ten years she also began producing sculpture in cast stone.
