My initial encounter with woodworking was during my senior year of high school. My first project was building a pool table.
I began working in my fathers machine shop after I got out of the army, turning metal, not wood. This experience would serve to be a useful skill in my woodworking later on. After getting married I began making furniture and other items needed in our home. Later on I took a class in woodturning and began to really enjoy making items. Now that I’m retired and have the time, I’m spending more time crafting useful and decorative items.
I hope you enjoy them as much as the satisfaction I receive from making them.
