Kira has grown up in a family that loves taking pictures on vacations and at family events. She has been developing her own style of looking at things through her camera for many years. She has a keen eye for details, color and composition. Her family recalls having to limit the number of pictures she took in the days of actual film. Now that she has gone digital there is no limit to her subjects. A favorite pass time is going outside in her backyard and to a neighboring farm to take pictures as well as taking pictures of friends and family, albeit in different angles and views than most.
Having an interest in many mediums, she was invited and accepted to exhibit in the Junior and /senior High Art Exhibit 2012 at the Yocum Institute of art for a pencil drawing. In 2011 and 2012 Kira was an official photographer for the Boyertown High School Arts Expo where she was also displayed as an ‘Up and Coming Artist’ for her photography. She had several of her photographs featured for the Artists Showcase of the Voices Section in the Reading Eagle Newspaper. She also placed second in the Second Annual Photography Contest sponsored by the Boyertown Historical Society in April, 2012. Her most recent accomplishment was being accepted as an exhibitor at the Black History Month Art Show at the Goggleworks in Reading.
Kira is a sophomore at the Boyertown Area Senior High School and has been involved in art there for years. She is currently enrolled in Photographic Imaging Class. Her plans for the future include owning her own Cafe’ and Art Studio
