			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We will be a stop on the Boyertown Holiday Open House Tour from 3 to 9, Friday, December 2, 2011.  Gordon Bahr, a descendant who lived and worked the farm, mill and store most of his life, will be present from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to answer questions about the historic property.  Rob Shafer, Gilbertsville Woodworker, will also be joining us from 6:30 &#8211; 8:30, to answer any questions about his wonderful craft.</p>

<p>10:00 am &#8211; 11:30 am &#8211; Come watch how Budding Artist Gillian Moser makes her creations out of Polymer Clay.  The detail she includes is incredible.  We will be featuring this Budding Artist during the last quarter of this year.</p>
<p>1:00 pm &#8211; 3:00 pm &#8211; Come see Kathleen Lysakowski paint.  This demo is sure to please and entertain.  If you see something in a rock, like a hamburger or hotdog, bring it along and <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">maybe</span></strong> Kat will paint it.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Sunday, October 9, 2011</span></p>
<p>2:00 pm &#8211; 6:00 pm &#8211; Stop by and see Basket Weaving being done by Diane Kennedy.  Diane will have some of her basket here for sale as well.</p>
<div style="padding-left: 60px;">Diane is a Basketmaker from Boyertown, Pennsylvania, specializing in the use of natural materials, many of which she gathers and prepares. She began making baskets in 1978 with vines such as honeysuckle, grapevine, wisteria and willow. She stains her baskets with a natural dye made from black walnut husks. As she continues to use materials and dyes indigenous to PA, her interest in exotic materials from Florida and California can be seen in many of her baskets.</div>
<div style="padding-left: 60px;">Diane is a member of the Reading-Berks PA Guild of Craftsmen and a juried member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen. In 2007, one of her baskets was featured on the Cover Illustration of the Crafts Report Magazine. Diane&#8217;s work has received numerous awards and she sells at select juried exhibitions.</div>
<p>2:00 pm &#8211; 6:00 pm &#8211; Debbie Burkert will be demonstrating Sherenschnitte (paper cutting).  Come see how she creates these finely intricate pictures from cutting paper.</p>
